Missing Supporters
We need every Boro supporter possible present for the semi final at Kings Lynn on the 5th May. Hopefully some of the old Boro supporters will at last return. There was a mention in the Banbury program on Tuesday that a gate of 1,423 was at the Leas Stadium (Home of the Boro) for that home tie in the same Cup competition in 1969. Not a bad gate for a Monday evening and it was only a first round tie. The la-*test*-('") performances deserve at least half this number but we would settle for 200 to 300 each week. Cmon you armchair Boro supporters lets give the boys the support they fully deserve. Once a Boro always a Boro supporter.

100% correct Malc & Sandra, we need all the fans we can get. But what can we do to pull them out of there armchairs and get along to watch a live game. Far short of sabotaging the Sky satalite that transmits all the football for you to watch while in your armchair, i don't quite know what the answer is. Where are the fans that used to go and watch the old Boro... surely they havn't all moved away or gone off supporting other clubs. The unfortunate truth of the matter is, unless more support comes through the gate at the Middlesex Stadium, the current club will find it extremely hard to progress and indeed survive in today's footballing world. In fear of repeating myself, they say that success will lead to more fans. We were successfull in the FA Vase and only sold 475 tickets which went mostly to friends and family.. only 50 or so old fans made the effort. The only way forward, in my opinion is to get out onto the streets of Ruislip, Hillingdon and Yiewsley and promote the club to new people who would want to be part of a progessive non-league club, to get behind the lads on a Saturday afternoon, to sing their hearts outs, and enjoy banter with opposition supporters, to be able to feel part of the club, to get on this forum and have there say. Is all that too much to ask for?, Am i dreaming, is it like hoping your numbers will come up on the lottery. No, all it needs is the right people to help promote the club, and people with a little bit of time on there hands. How many people will read this article... i doubt many will...does all this fall on deaf ears. COME ON HILLINGDON FANS... WE NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER
